Versatile. That is one way to sum
up Kathleen Holeman’s vocal abilities. She can croon a ballad as if she
wrote it, belt out a big band tune, cry the blues and scat all over a
standard.
She has listened to the masters and created a sound all her
own, while still being able to quote a style from Billie H., Ella F. or
Sarah V. to name a few. She can sing low and smoky or high and pure.
Versatile.

The Variety Pack
The
Variety Pack has been one of the most requested acts at the Southside Fall
Festival for many years. Variety Pack
has pioneered the use of the recording
industry’s hi-tech tools allowing them to produce a musical sound unlike
any 4 piece band you have ever heard.
The
band provides a variety
of music including;
Big Band, Polkas, Motown, Latin, Country, Disco, Swing, Broadway Show
Tunes and even Classical music.
Our show is mostly
Marionettes, with Rod Puppets,
and Hand Puppets
all set to music.
It is set in short little acts performed out front where you can see the
puppeteers. The show is quick paced, filled with circus clowns, animal
acts, acrobats, dancing poodles.
This show is truly meant for all
audiences and all ages. Sure, we're going to entertain the kids but we're
especially proud that we'll also entertain those other humans (adults)
that bring them.
Another returning favorite of
festival goers, the
Exit 47 band plays a large variety of music consisting of Classic Rock,
Top 40 Pop, and New Country. They are all seasoned musicians who
have played professionally in the St. Joseph & Kansas City area for over
twenty years.
